Maintenance of motors | Points of inspection

Point one: the motor speed is normal, with no speed jitter or blocking phenomenon (as confirmed by the available tachometer check).

Point two: whether the motor's foot bolt is loose, whether the foundation is intact, and whether there is debris around.

Point three, the motor cover, coupling is intact, and the coupling connection screw is loose. Is there any debris or stains on the motor body, whether the ventilation slot is blocked, etc?

Point four, the air-cooled motor should pay attention to whether the air pipeline is smooth, whether the connection parts are tight, whether the gate on the pipeline is correctly positioned, and whether the ventilation of natural ventilation is good. Water-cooled motor should pay attention to whether the cooling water pipeline is smooth, whether there is cooling water leakage, cooling water temperature, flow is normal.

Points to note

Point one, synchronous motors, wire-wound motors, etc., should also check whether the brush and collector ring contact is good, whether there is a commutation spark, the color and shape of the spark are abnormal.

Point two, the excitation system of the synchronous motor is normal.

Point three, the motor wiring, grounding wire connections are not loose.

Special points

Point I. Whether the current of the running motor exceeds the allowed value, whether it corresponds to the actual load, whether there is a sudden change, whether the voltage is within the allowed range, and whether there is a lack of phase.

Point two, whether the temperature of each part of the motor exceeds the allowable value.

Point three: whether the bearing is overheated, whether the lubricating grease is sufficient, whether the oil level of the oil level indicator is normal, and whether the oil ring rotation is flexible.

Point 4, whether the motor has smoke, whether the winding has discoloration, and other overheating conditions.
